NVC will send an appointment notice once the principal applicant and derivatives of the I-130 are scheduled for an interview at the U.S. Embassy Havana. Applicants should not make any firm plans such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time. As soon as NVC schedules a case for interview, NVC will contact the petitioner or the petitioner’s attorney (if you designated one).
Petitioners do not need to contact NVC or the U.S. Embassy in Havana unless the petitioner needs to report a change of mailing address or email address or a change in a personal situation that may affect the beneficiary’s entitlement to an immigrant visa (for example: marriage, divorce, or birth of a child). If an applicant cannot attend the NVC scheduled interview, contact our Information Unit at HavanaConsularInfo@State.gov.
