The American Citizens Services Unit at the Embassy is open Monday through Thursday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm and Friday between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm, excluding Cuban and U.S. federal holidays.

Family Emergencies
If family members are attempting to contact a U.S. citizen in Cuba because they are concerned about that U.S. citizen’s welfare or whereabouts, they may call the State Department’s Citizens Emergency Center at (+1) 202 647-5225.
The State Department will relay any message to the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba and the American Citizen Services Unit will attempt to contact the U.S. citizen.
If the U.S. citizen is registered with the American Citizen Services Unit using STEP, and if he/she has signed a Privacy Act Waiver, we will be able to provide information about the U.S. citizen to his/her family.
