The Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service works closely with law enforcement agencies to protect and maintain the security and safety of foreign missions in the United States.
Regarding the events at the Cuban Embassy in Washington DC of April 30, 2020, this is a joint investigation by the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), the United States Secret Service (USSS), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia (MPDC).
The U.S. law enforcement process is transparent with strict jurisprudence and many records about cases and court proceedings publicly available.
